MANILA, Philippines – Ayala Land Inc. said phase 1 of Arca South, located at the former Food Terminal Inc. complex, is on track for completion by the end of the year.

Arca South’s phase one, which includes roadwork, utilities and other infrastructure, are now 70 percent complete.

ALI said excavation and construction work have started on the Ayala Malls, ARCA South Corporate Center and Seda Hotel ARCA South. The mall and corporate center are expected to be completed by 2017, while Seda Hotel will open in 2018.

Arca South has a 50-50 commercial and residential mix, with the commercial lots now sold out.

“First movers to ARCA South have a distinct advantage. Their foresight has led them to an area that will be driving unprecedented growth in the south. Land values appreciated by 39% in less than a year,” Stephen Comia, ALI Project Development Manager, said.

Ayala Land’s brands Ayala Land Premier, Alveo and Avida have also launched residential projects in Arca South. Ayala Land Premier’s Arbor Lanes, Alveo’s The Veranda and Avida Towers One Union Place are expected to start turning over residential units by 2018.

“They have allowed us to attract different markets to ARCA South by offering a wider range of residential projects. All three brands launched individual projects just last year. Across all three, we already have about 71 percent sales take up,” Comia said.

Arca South is expected to benefit from two government roadway projects in the future that will further increase accessibility to the estate. These are the Intermodal Transport System and the Skyway C5-C6 connector project.

“We are looking forward to these projects. Access to ARCA South and the connection to other ALI-master planned communities and CBDs will be greatly enhanced upon their completion,” he said.
