Ayala Land has launched its newest master-planned, mixed-use estate, Vermosa, which is envisioned as the next Alabang. This sustainable estate is designed to encourage walking and physical activities by seamlessly integrating features that promote healthy and active living within its various components including residential, business and commercial developments.
Vermosa, located along Daang Hari road and only 12 kilometers south of Ayala Alabang, is the first Ayala Land-developed estate that aims to be the epicenter of diverse sports and lifestyle.
“Vermosa is perfect for people who aspire for and are passionate about healthy and active living because it provides a complete and integrated environment that is conducive to sports and fitness,” said Jay Teodoro, Ayala Land senior division manager and Vermosa Estate head. “It is also less than an hour’s drive away from Makati and other major urban centers, making Vermosa a very viable first home community.”
Vermosa features premier sports-themed amenities, particularly the Vermosa Sports and Lifestyle Complex (VSLC) – the first privately-managed sports facility that combines the only International Association of Athletics Federations-certified track oval in the Philippines, a FINA-certified Olympic-size swimming pool and a sports science laboratory. VSLC aims to provide the best training venue for the new breed of sports enthusiasts.
“We want to be recognized as a premier destination for training and competition for sports professionals and enthusiasts, providing not only the best training facilities and services but also a complete integration of features that promote health and wellness embedded within the estate’s environment,” said Teodoro.
VSLC’s sports science laboratory studies how the human body works during intensive sports activities and exercises to improve performance. As the most complete facility in the country, VSLC offers training programs and physiological services to enhance athletic performance. It also promises a holistic approach to fitness and health as the programs are managed by Optimum Sports – a group of coaches and trainers who have experience in mentoring athletes for international competitions. The team is led by renowned coach Marc Velasco.
Construction is also underway for a sports-themed shopping center that will feature organic and farmers’ markets, sports and hobby shops, sports bars, spas and health stores.
Vermosa also boasts of lush greenery to complement a change in scenery and lifestyle. The mixed-use town core and future central business district (CBD) will incorporate various components, including office solutions, retail boutiques, entertainment complexes, institutional centers, integrated bike and pedestrian lanes, and open, interactive spaces that are conducive for sustainable community building.
The construction of residential communities is also in full throttle with The Courtyard by Ayala Land Premier and Alveo’s Ardia leading the way. These will be followed by the launch of Avida in the first quarter of 2017. Upon full build-out, Vermosa is set to accommodate more than 30,000 residents, with open spaces designed for a less-congested community. Surrounded by pedestrian-centric walking paths, dedicated bike lanes and a landscaped linear park stretching as far as 10 km over the entire estate, each resident from anywhere within Vermosa will have access to a commercial center through a convenient 10-minute walk or bike ride.
Vermosa will have two CBDs covering more than 100 hectares. The first phase is a low-density, campus-type CBD called Vermosa Midtown that will house various retail and commercial establishments including an Ayala Mall regional shopping center that is set to open by first quarter of 2018. De La Salle Santiago Zobel School will also open its second campus in Vermosa Midtown in 2017. The second phase will feature a full-blown CBD that will be developed over the long term.
